 Panwali Kantha:

Perched at a height of 3368m (11,050ft) in the Gharwal Himalayas, the meadows of Panwali Kantha are known for their breathtaking views of the rare Char Dham mountain ranges.

With the arrival of summer, the snows melt and the flowers and the herbs blossom forth to carpet the Panwali Kantha Meadow.

The trek is along the old pilgrimage route from Gangotri to Kedarnath. You find a lot Shepherds who live between the Shivalik Ranges and the Greater Himalayas.

You can see many Himalayan Ranges from here some mountains are- Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, Gangotri Peaks. During the trek you can have glance of Chaukhamba, Kedar Dome, Mt. Meru, Neelkanth and many more. 

Where is Panwali Kantha:

One of the most expensive alpine meadows of Gharwal Himalayas, Panwali Kantha is known for it's variety of flowering herbs, wildlife and scenic landscape views. The meadow is at an elevation of 10,827ft, right between Mandakini and Bhilangana rivers and the Himalayan zone of Tehri and Rudrprayag districts of Uttararkhand. 

High altitude animals like Bharal, Ghoral, Himalayan Bear and the rare Musk deer are also spotted here.

When you go here with a travel company, they will charge according to how many members are with you, camping equipmenta, all meals, trekking gears, a guide  and first aid kit.
